We are looking for an Assistant Site Manager to join our team in Purton. This is a full-time, permanent role with a competitive salary and a fantastic benefits package.

What is the role all about?

As our Assistant Site Manager, based out of our hazardous waste landfill and composting operation in Purton, you will assist the Site Manager with daily operations, organising site maintenance and supervision of the operational team, assuming the Site Manager’s role in their absence.

What you will be doing:

As our Assistant Site Manager, you will:

  • Assist the Site Manager with all compliance, operational resourcing, financial and other tasks to ensure a safe, environmentally compliant, efficient and profitable business.
  • Assist with the management, monitoring and reporting of the environmental control systems, including the leachate and surface water management systems, ensuring compliance with all discharge consents.
  • Ensure compliance with all legislation, permissions and licences that relate to the Company’s site, obtaining and maintaining any relevant Certificates of Technical Competence.

What we are looking for:

Essential:

  • Proven ability to lead a team towards a common goal.
  • Desire to learn and continue with professional development.
  • Competent in the use of manual tools.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience within waste or adjacent industries.
  • Experience explaining mobile plant.
  • Certificate of Technical Competence in composting/landfill, however training will be provided.
